Step 3: How to configure Git
- Enter the command

**-t rsa
in the local terminal, and clickEnter
three times in a row to generate and copy the key.

- Log in to GitHub, click the avatar in the upper right corner, find
Settings
, and open it. Find theSSH and GPG keys
in the left directory of the settings page and open it.

will appear on the right side, and click to open it . Fill in theTitle
, and paste the copied key into the blank space of theKey
to complete the configuration.
- Enter the following commands in the local terminal to complete the configuration of username and email.

How to clone GitHub repository
Before getting started, you need to choose an open-source GitHub project you want to contribute to. Let's take the open-source project Vanus as an example.
Step 1: Fork GitHub repository

How to push to GitHub
Pushing to GitHub involves sending your local changes to the remote repository on GitHub. Here are the steps to push to GitHub:
Step 1: Add changes
- After completing your contribution to an open-source project, stage the changes you want to push using the command
git add
. For example, if you want to stage all changes, use the commandgit add .

git add .
Step 2: Commit the changes
- Commit the changes using the command
git commit -m "Your commit message here"
. Make sure to include a meaningful commit message that describes the changes you made

Step 3: Push changes to the remote repository
- Push your changes to the remote repository on GitHub using the command
git push

How to create a Pull Request
